Mary Jarvis is an award-winning beadmaker and studio jeweler in Spring, Texas. She has a B.A. from The University of Mississippi in Graphic Design. She designed publications for The University of Mississippi and WKNO-TV in Memphis, Tennessee. After attending a workshop, she began making glass beads and jewelry. In 2001 she began working as a full time jewerly artist out of her studio.
Her glass beads have won awards and have been published in Belle Armoire Magazine, Bead Unique, and Lapidary Journal among others.
She currently attends Glassell School of Art in Houston,Texas in Advanced Jewelry taught by Sandra Zilker.
Her designs in metal have been featured in the Glassell Student Exhibition in 2009 and 2010.
Recently her work was selected for inclusion in the CraftTEXAS 2010 exhibition September 25, 2010 - January 9, 2011 at the Center for Contemporary Craft in Houston, Texas.
Her work is currently represented by 18 Hands Gallery in Houston.
